One Voice. One Choice.

Our MissioN

Young adults understand common sense gun reform and do not approach the issue from as partisan of a position as the adults in their lives.  The goal is for youth advocates around the country to rise up in one strong voice and plead with adults to keep us safe from preventable gun violence.  The adults, in turn, will vote with a youth perspective, understand the stress that the fear of gun violence has caused us and to be more compassionate and respectful to youth opinions.

We need an outlet to vent our stresses, our fears and our ideas for common sense gun reform.  Our adults have not been successful in this fight and we know that we can be. The time to listen to us is NOW.

Gunday Monday will be a social media initiative that will give teens the platform they need.  The youth are having conversations over Instagram and SnapChat while the adult conversations are happening on Facebook.  In order to have our voices heard, we, the youth, must go to the adults. On the same Monday across the country, thousands of youth advocates will “invade” Facebook on the same day and friend upwards of 100 adults in their lives.  Each Monday from that point forward, the teens will post visual, graphic, edgy and provocative informative material that will demand action, provoke emotion and educate their adults.
